Handmade in Nepal

Each piece is hand-felted in Nepal from 100% New Zealand wool using a traditional wet-felting process. Wool fibres are layered, shaped and worked with water until they form a dense, resilient structure. The result is a product that holds its form, feels completely different to anything mass-produced, and can be reshaped by hand whenever needed.
New Zealand wool
We use 100% New Zealand sheep wool selected for its softness, resilience and natural ability to felt together into a durable structure.
Shaped by hand in Nepal
Artisans layer and work the wool by hand using a traditional wet-felting technique to create each product's structure and form. The main body is formed through felting; decorative details may also be securely sewn depending on the design.
Azo-free dyes
Coloured designs use azo-free dyes. Colour and decorative detail can vary slightly from one handmade piece to another — a natural result of the process.

Wool is naturally resilient and breathable. With basic care, your cave will hold its shape and remain fresh for years.
Regular care
Air it occasionally and remove loose fur with a lint roller, vacuum attachment or soft brush. Wool naturally resists odours between cleans.
Spot cleaning
Dab small marks with cool water and a little wool-safe detergent. Avoid scrubbing or saturating the felt. Air-dry thoroughly before use.
Hand washing
When deeper cleaning is needed, wash gently by hand in cool water with a wool-safe detergent. Press out moisture without wringing, reshape while damp and air-dry completely. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Will my cat actually use it?
Most cats explore a cave within the first few days, though some take longer to accept a new object in their space. Placing a worn item of your clothing inside can help your cat feel more comfortable. If your cat doesn't take to it within 30 days of delivery, contact us and we'll make it right under our cat-acceptance guarantee.

Will my cat fit inside?
The cave is designed for small to medium-sized adult cats and fits most cats comfortably up to around 7 kg / 15 lb. The entrance is approximately 18–20 cm wide. If your cat is larger, measure them while curled up and compare with those dimensions. Open-bed mode may also be a better fit for larger cats.

What is it made from?
100% New Zealand wool, hand-felted in Nepal using a traditional wet-felting process. No synthetic padding or plastic foam. The cave is coloured with azo-free dyes. Inspect regularly and replace if your cat is chewing through the felt.

How do I clean it?
Hand wash in cool water with a small amount of wool-safe detergent. Press gently — do not wring or scrub. Reshape immediately and air dry completely before your cat uses it again. Avoid machine washing, as agitation can distort the felt.
