Cats deserve better than plastic.
Himalayan Cat Caves started with a simple frustration: cats deserve better than disposable plastic, and homes deserve better than ugly pet furniture. So we went looking for something natural, beautiful and built to last — and found it being made by hand in Nepal.

Why wool, why Nepal
Most cat beds are mass-produced from foam and plastic — cheap to make, quick to flatten, and impossible to recycle. Wool is the opposite: warm, breathing, naturally odour-resistant, and shaped by hand into a den a cat instinctively wants to hide inside.
We found artisans in Nepal who have felted wool for generations, and built our whole range around their craft. One material. Real hands. No shortcuts.
What we stand for
Three things we won't compromise on
Natural, not plastic
100% New Zealand wool — no foam, no synthetics, no glues. Safe around cats, kind to the planet, and biodegradable at the end of a long life.
Made by hand, fairly
Every piece is hand-felted by a women-led, fair-trade workshop in Nepal. Real wages, real people. See how they're made →
Built to belong
Sculptural enough for your living room, cosy enough your cat moves in. Made to last for years, not seasons.
The promise
The 30-day cat-acceptance guarantee
Cats are particular — we get it. Let your cat gently try the cave at home. If your cat does not take to it within 30 days of delivery, contact us to arrange a return or exchange — the cave may have been gently tried but must be clean and free from damage.
